Sam’s focus is to strengthen the links between the local Church in the UK context and the global context of the Church facing persecution. Sam previously established the charity Urban Devotion in inner city Birmingham investing in community transformation ‘one life at a time’.  This commitment to people’s flourishing has been further expanded through working with Open Doors. Being exposed to the courage and hopefulness of Christians following Jesus despite persecution is profoundly transformative and an important mirror to inspire us to greater flourishing in our devotion to Jesus and dedication to others flourishing in faith.
