FAQS

Why are there photographers around the site?

We will be capturing the weekend on photo and video. However, if you do not wish to have your image taken we will have green lanyards available for collection from Wildfires Central which tell our media team that you do not wish to be photographed or recorded.

Does my child / young person need to be registered?

Every under 18 on site needs to be registered, even if they are NOT going to any groups. However, registration should be done as soon as possible to guarantee access to kids and youth venues.

What group should my child be in?

For Wildfires 2025 we will go by academic year 2024/2025.

Can I register my child in the same group as their sibling even if they are not in the same school year?

This is usually decided on a case by case basis but in general should be fine, as long as you think that the child will be able to engage with the programme of that venue and the venue leader is happy too.

Are there any breastfeeding areas in the venues? And baby change facilities?

There will be comfy sofas and a baby changing area within the 0-2s venue and parents are welcome to breastfeed where they feel comfortable.

Can prams be brought into the adult venue in the morning / evening meetings?

Yes of course! For safety, we will always do our best to make sure that aisles and exits are not blocked, but you are more than welcome to have prams with you in our Big Top meetings.

Will there be a live stream of adult venue in the 0-2s venue?

Yes, there will be a live stream of the Big Top meetings to the 0-2s venue.

My child has additional needs, will there be extra support provided?

When you book your child onto Wildfires you will be sent a registration form which will contain a section where you can state any additional needs that your child has. At this time, we are unable to provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs. However, we do have a team focused on supporting those with additional needs in each children and youth venue, as well as in the Big Top.

You can find out more on our accessibility page.
